Hi Everyone,
Thanks again for a great product I been having lots of fun with it!!
Issue I am having is when I drag & drop from EZ as a plug in on my DAW the midi file is 1/4 bar short. I have tried several different attempts at this…closing and reopening both project and ez2. trying it in a different project.making sure the tempo is correct. Selecting all before I drag it over, but it keeps coming up a 1/4 bar short…?? Any ideas?
Cheers, jeff
Hey, I am just finding out this happens only AFTER i edit it in “edit play style” of ez2
jeff
What DAW are you using?
I do not recall this occurring in Pro Tools or Logic.
I’ll try again when I get back to the studio later.
Hey Thanks,
Yes I’m using REAPER….Still having the issue…I just changed the project to 3/4 because that is what the song requires and I have all my settings changed in ez2 also but still coming up 1/4 bar short when I copy or drag it into reaper…
Yep that’s it…whenever I go into ez editor and change something it will come out 1/4 beat short…
Ok,
I think I have the answer…PLZ let me know if this sounds right…AFTER i edit drum pattern in “EDIT PLAY STYLE” of ez2 I have to QUANTIZE? I have tried it a couple of times and AFTER i quantize I can drag&drop with no issues…
Cheers, jeff
I haven’t seen that myself but there is no actual MIDI performance getting lost here?
It’s just that the dragged MIDI clip doesn’t “fill out” the entire Bar in Reaper, right?

Sorry for the delayed response.
I’m guessing that this is a Reaper issue.
I tried to replicate your workflow in EZDrummer2, dragging a “Play Style-edited” 4-bar fill into Logic Pro X (v10.1).
The 4-bar fill contained only 3 beats of MIDI events with the remaining beat 4 empty.
Logic retained the entire 4-bar block.
I wasn’t able to try this in Pro Tools before work today. (It crashed…waa waa)
I can try Pro Tools and possibly Reaper later
but I can’t say that I’ve ever had Pro Tools or Logic reduce the size of the block from its size in EZD2.
Hey I’m sorry Guys, but I think I might have the SOLUTION…
I just saw my AUDIO interface menu pop up and it is defaulting at 44.1k and my project is for video and I’m recording @ 48k. So I had set my interface set at 48 but apparently every time I opened up the project and started working again it seems to have defaulted back to 44.1, can’t seem to find a way to set it at 48 anyways……..Just tried it again WITHOUT quantizing and it seems to be fine!!
Thanks again for jumping in Everyone!!
cheers, Jeff
