Hi, thanks in advance for any advice. I have Cubase 5, fully updated t0 5.1.2 with EZD plus Nashville, DFH and Vintage Rock kits and EZPlayer/Solo. Also have Monster Pack 3 and Songwriter Pack. Running Windows 7 64-bit on a Dell i7 Laptop.
I have two Program File directories, second one has (x86) at the end. This is where Toontrack installed all files. Steinberg is in the normal Program Files area. I had to copy the ezd and ezplayer dll’s to the Steinberg/VST folders so that Cubase could see them.
EZD works perfectly, all kits and sounds no sweat. However, I can’t drag and drop grooves to the instrument track. Any help greatly appreciated.

Right, figured out the problem…posting so future users can resolve it themselves. Went to the Cubase shortcut on my desktop. Right Click -> Select Properties -> Select Compatibility -> Tick the Run As Administrator box -> Click Apply -> Click OK….voila!! Now I can drag the grooves into my EZD Instrument Track in Cubase. Guess this fix will work with other DAWs as well due to this being a Windows 7 fix. Hope this helps anyone else in Toontrack Land

I’m having this same issue. I just upgraded to CB5. I’m running XP3 and don’t have the Administrator check box in compatibility mode. What do I need to do? Thanks

Actually, I realized that it is dragging into the project however it is creating another instrument track and putting it there. I had this problem in LE 4 and unchecked the Auto Dissolve Format 0 and Import to Instrument Tracks in the preferences and that worked. It’s not working for me here. What else am I missing? I did find the run as Administrator check box and checked it.

I deleted the EZD track and re-added and it worked. I guess the preference didn’t change for the previously created track.
