Hi!
I have problems with drag and drop, nothing happens. It worked fine on my old cubase but when I sinse I bought a new computer and upgraded to Cubase 5 studio it stopped working. I run windows 7 64-bit. When I installed
ezdrummer I had to move the ezdrummer.dll file from programfiles (x86) to programfiles and drop it in the vstinstruments folder
there in order to get Cubase to find the ezdrummer. Could that have anything to do with my problem? Its also strange becaouse I have no problems recording the drums when I play them live from my keyboard. Its just the drag and drop that doesnt work.
Would be very grateful for a solution of this problem. (I have downloaded and installed the updates)
/H
Hi,
first; you should NEVER manually move anything installed by the Toontrack installers, it breaks the paths for the updaters, i.e. they will NOT update correctly.
I recommend an un-install and re-installation.
What you do is add the VST search path in Cubase to where the plugin(s) is installed for it to be picked up.
Drag and drop may not be working as expected due to several reasons.
1) try right-clicking the Cubase.exe file and select ‘Run as Admin…’
2) make sure you have the ‘Import to Instrument tracks’ unchecked in the Cubase Preferences
3) under: Midi -> Midi File-> uncheck ‘Auto dissolve format zero’
