drag and drop of tap to find beat not working

Until just recently I could “tap to find” a beat and then drag and drop it into studio 1. I can still Tap to find” a beat and it plays flawlessly. When I drag and drop it into Studio 1 some of then hits (bass drum for example) are elongated to the point of choking out or eliminating some of the last beats or  sounds in the measure. If I select a similar beat that comes up after Tapping to find and drag and drop into Studio 1 this does not occur, only in the beats that I manually tap in. I  have been using the Alesis lpk25 with out issue. Any ideas?

Hi,

can you try this with another controller? Does it also happen when you Tap to Find with your mouse in the interface?

Problem started when controller got knocked off of desk and shorted the jack on controller. Purchased a new one but did not resolve issue. First time I tried using the qwerty keyboard for input, worked fine. Now everytime i try this method the issue is unresolved.
