Drag and Drop not working Cubase SL3 on XP

Hi

I see a few solutions for this with more recent (!) OS and Cubase installs than myself. Drag and drop used to work fine and then just recently it stopped. No updates installed as far as I know – it just stopped dragging and dropping. I’ve tried right clicking on my cubase shortcut and running it as administrator which I’ve never needed to do before (no idea if this is a Vista specific solution though?) but run into problems on loading with cubase reporting it can’t find various files for other VSTs (specifically those by Big Tick). Despite aiming the file dialogue box at the right folder cubase eventually hangs.

Is the only solution running as administrator after uninstalling and reinstalling other VSTs? What has caused the problem when it actually worked before?

When you drag a file from the EZD browser do you get the ‘+’ or do you get the ‘null’ sign?

If you get the ‘+’ then it is getting dropped. Scroll down to the bottom of your project page and see if it’s not dropped there.

Aha…er yes, its down at the bottom of the page. Thanks for the quick response, Scott, I’m very grateful! Maybe they should make portrait format monitors! 

Been so pleased with EZD, I went and bought Superior 2, just not had chance to install it yet. You guys make great sounding drums. Thanks again!
