Hi,
If I drag a midi block from the grooves tab with a 3/4 time signature into an empty track, the time signature changes to 3/4.
Very nice :-).
If I then drag another midi block with any other time signature into the same track, the time signature stays at 3/4.
Not so nice. :0
Is this a “feature” by design, a bug – or am I missing something?
I can understand why one would not have the signature change for every midi block dragged into the track timeline, every time a block is dragged into it.
But, at least some choice between the behaviour would be really awesome. For example if you drag the midi onto the bar with the numbers in the top of the track, the time signature could automatically be “edited” on that spot – if the dragged midi block differs from the current signature on the track. Vice versa dropping midi block below the bar numbers would not alter the signature. If that makes sense…
Hi,
if you drag a groove with another Time signature onto the Song Track, just place the playhead at the beginning of that groove, go to Track > Edit Time Signature and Insert the new Time signature at Playhead.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply 🙂
Yes, I am aware of how to edit signature changes.
Since it’s often just some repeated trivial steps to do, I bet you can automate it – if the developer team wants to implement such a functionality.
Best regards
Jens
