Logic Pro 10.6 has created a problem which another user also highlighted within another post so I figured this required its own topic.
In the current version of Logic and EZkeys when you drag the midi into Logic it creates two tracks — one empty the other the imported midi. Neither are the track you are trying to place the imported midi on either.
Other user posted this: Since Logic 10.6, when I drag&drop midi regions it puts two tracks, the actual midi is one track below. I would appreciate if you could fix this issue.
Toontrack– please look into this and update us.

I see it is not their priority. Probably we should comment on each new picture they post on social network with this issue.
Why are you still giving us the silent treatment? Twelve weeks ago John Rammelt from Toontrack posted:
I’ve been told by one of the programmers that the issue will be fixed in the next update. I have no ETA for that, though.
Still no ETA? Or don’t you care?
Write on their social, so new customers will know that their products just don’t work properly.
….and Toontrack continue to promote EZkeys discounts etc – A guy I know bought EZkeys recently and is very disappointed (to say the least) that the software does not work as sold.
Maybe Rikk Currence should threaten to shave off his beard if his Devs dont get this sorted?
I submitted a ticket few days ago. Here their reply:
Yes our programmers are aware and a fix will be included in the next update for EZkeys. We have no ETA on when the update will be available though.
Yes, I know that they are aware of this and that no there is no ETA. That’s the problem. This bug was reported back in November last year and still no fix and not even an ETA. To me it seems like they really don’t give a s**t since there is not enough pressure from unhappy customers!
From their business perspective, totally ignoring this makes perfect sense, they obviously have more profitable projects to keep them busy!
Maybe there will be a fix sometime in the far future, maybe not! They know but they are not telling us the whole truth!
Really annoying.
This is a good example of customer support gone bad!!
I have the same problem; on Big Sur 11.2.3, with Logic Pro X 10.6.1.
Indeed very annoying and a little shame that it takes so long to have the right solution.
My work-around now is:
Stil not the way it should be… but we have to be patient.
Cheer up, make some good music!
Yes, it is absolutely possible to do what you suggest. And I have to do the same to stay sane. But it is still very annoying that EZKeys has not been updated in ages and that there is no ETA for an update. It is of course possible that they are working on a new 2.0 version but then they could at least say so.
EZKeys is badly in need of a major overhaul! UI, UX and features need to be updated badly! It is probably just a matter of money. I guess that the other Toontrack products are outselling EZKeys multiple times and that makes an update less likely. If there will ever be one…
One can really wonder after no update for many years!
I don’t know Logic, but in StudioOne I have to hold a modifier key (alt, ctrl etc) to drag a vanilla midi file into ezkeys, have you tried something like that? seems S1 adds crap to the midi files to “improve user experience” and EZK only accepts vanilla. No where is this fact documented, as far as I can tell.
6 MONTHS since this issue has been reported and still no ETA?
It is incredible how bad this support is now… I can’t believe I bought EZdrummer-Keys-Bass just to get this poor customer care!
I reported this awhile ago and explained to them the issue.
I’ll explain it again with this picture again.
There is 2 time signatures at the same time position, zero in this case. This is the issue.
When I drag other midi files from other sources, they only have one time signature and only one midi track will be created in Logic
Can any of you post a midi fie you’re having issues with.
I want to see if the double time signatures at the same time position still exists.
Again, I reported this awhile ago.
Here’s my post about this issue.
Turns out it was still a duplicate time signature but it was putting in the wrong time signature too.

The EZkeys update has been released.
