I drag right from the groove tab in SD3 onto a SD3 channel/track in cubase and it always comes up as generic. I can’t figure out how to make the dropped file have it’s distinct name( rock song 3 verse …or whatever programmed grooves I drag it from). Be it groove monkey, toontrack… I’m sure there is an easy fix, I just haven’t found it yet
Thanks
 John
JohnHi,
while I suspect this might partly be a Cubase Preferences issue, there is also a difference if you drag from the Browser or the Song Track.
In the attached screen shot, I have first dragged a Groove directly from the Browser to the Logic track. Next, I first dragged the same Groove down to the SD3 Song Track and then from there to the Logic track. As you see, there is a difference in how the Groove gets named in Logic.

Thanks John,
It just might be a cubase issue, because when I drag from either location I get a generic name.
GD cubase sucks and their customer service is worse.

JohnOut of curiosity, is there any difference in this behaviour if you first drag the groove to a temporary place, like e.g. the Desktop, then to your Cubase track?
