Not all host DAWs support dragging and dropping of MIDI from host to plugin.

You can use the Record function in EZD 2 and record MIDI from your host onto the EZD 2 Song Track which may take a bit longer but will achieve the same result.

Hi Scott, Yes that works but I’ve posted earlier that recording from DAW to the EZ interface always misses the first beat/note. In Ableton you would have to drag the clip to the Arrange and set the time a little earlier to get the full recording in EZ. I hope they can fix this in an update.. It also misses the first beat in Logic

Hi, in researching prior to update, and I am new to EZD2 ,,, I found this update and wondered if this fixed the “first beat ” issue.

IMPORTANT: the current version is EZdrummer 2.0.1

    Hi

The 2.0.1 update should be applied regardless. I can’t say if it resolved this issue or not, because I have never been able to duplicate the issue.

I recommend that you start the Ableton track earlier in time (i.e so there is some time before the first beat of the MIDI) rather than starting right on the first beat.

    Does EZdrummer record it then?

We are currently working on the next update, which will fix the problem with recording the first hit. It will be released as soon as possible. In the meantime follow Michaels suggestion – to start the recording a bit ahead.
