i run windows 7 64fbit, the latest version of reaper 64bit, and use a focusrite scarlett 2i2 interface.
i bought EZD2 when it was released. it’s great, thanks very much, it has worked fine right from the start.
two weeks ago after a large Microsoft Windows update i began experiencing a serious latency problem in reaper. it also affects EZD2: when i click on drums there’s a significant delay before the drum sounds. i can’t use tap to find, i can’t trigger drums on the beat, etc.
i’ve tried adjusting latency settings in reaper and in the scarlett control panel. no matter how i adjust the settings i can’t make the latency longer or shorter. the settings have no affect either way. this fact, plus the fact that everything worked fine for the past six months makes me not suspect my settings. so let’s not focus on my settings.
my latency problem occurred after the recent large Windows update. i did not update or install .NET Framework with that update. i do not have .NET Framework installed on my laptop.
my question is this:
does EZD2 require .NET Framework and could my latency problem be related to the fact that i do not have .NET Framework installed on my laptop?
Thanks for any suggestions or help you can provide.
Hi,
if required files were missing they would be installed by the EZdrummer 2 installer. I would very much like to see your Audio Device Settings in Reaper and the Scarlett control panel settings. Could you please post screen shots? Also with the EZdurmmer 2 open?

thank you very much for the offer of help and for taking a look. i’ll post screenshots tonight. which screen/view in EZD2 do you wish to see open or does it not matter?
some screenshots. note that after basic drum track is complete i drag it into reaper and out of the EZD2 timeline. i do all final editing in reaper.
