Do we need to install the EZX updates?

Only asking because everything seemed to be done when I updated to EZD2. I have 7 or 8 EZXs and they all seem to be fully integrated in to EZD2 with new mixer presets etc. So, given that everything seems to be in place:

a) do I need to install the separate product updates and

b) do I need to install the separate midi updates?

You can use the ‘Check for updates’ function in the EZdrummer 2 Menu to see if there are any applicable updates available.
If you have the latest version(s), the program will tell so.

Yeah – it says there’s dozens of them, but I’m not sure if that’s correct. As I say, everything is working fine with – apparently – all the new features in all the EZXs. Someone else on another forum said they did all the updates and he didn’t notice a scrap of difference.

I remember TT guys saying before the update that most manual updates wouldn’t be necessary as it should be automatic. Just have a hunch that it’s the system itself that is the issue here, which hasn’t correctly recorded that the updates have, in fact, already happened.

The exception might be Superior midi which I think is more recent than the EZD2 update.

I Have the same question, everything seems to work fine, but the update function tells me to update EZXs. Everyone of them is over 500mb to 1 gb. pretty huge update.
Is this correct.?

What you are trying to download are the full installers. If you check below the download button you can see two tabs, one of them is named ‘Updates’, click that one and you can find the updates.

So… let’s get this straight. I just bought an EZX pack, the main installer is not the up-to-date one? I still have download and install the updates after I download the pack?

The ‘check for updates’ function in EZdrummer 2 will tell you – correctly – if there are any applicable updates available. If the plugin says so – update, please.
