Do I need to download all of SD3 stock library before I instal expansions?

Hi I was wondering if I need to install the factory library on Toontrack Product Manager for SD3 before I install Metal Foundry & Metal Machine expansion? Is it really necessary to install the factory library?

Hi,

it is not required, no. SD3 can operate without any SDX installed e.g. if you only have EZX:s installed.

ok cool thanks — just to confirm so I dont need to download & install any of these that are in blue?

i.e. part 1-4 + bleed?

Unless you’re strapped for space I’d download and install parts 1 and 2 and bleed. You never know when you might want some of what’s in the core library. The surround bits are not needed.
