I am not the most experienced Digitial Performer user so this may be a basic question but my song is finished and I have been using Ez Drummer by dragging the midi notes onto the track. I want to now record the midi so I can bounce the whole mix. But I am struggling with this. I selected the Midi notes playing the Ezdrummer and I am pressing record on a new “keyboard” track but nothing is recording. I believe I don’t have this routed properly. For all the midi notes I recorded with my keyboard which is my controller went just fine by selecting the midi and recording on a separate track.
If anyone can help, would be great. Trying to hit a deadline and my drums are missing on this bounce to disk. thanks alot.

Selecting the Instrument track assigned to EZdrummer, you should be able to ‘Freeze’ the track. although this will only work (to the best of my knowledge) for stereo instruments (as opposed to multi channel). Check DP doc for details.
Alternatively you could change the output of the track to a Bus and record the bus output to an audio track. Make sure you’re not routing anything to that bus however or you’ll get more than the drums recorded (unless you mute them).
The same procedure can be used to record the drums to their own track once you have them on separate aux tracks, just route and record to multiple busses. The following is one example of how this can be achieved (tracks have not been renamed so you can see what type of tracks are used):

Thanks for posting the picture with explanation. I just received DP6 AND EZDrummer and I couldn’t figure out how to get the multichannel output to work. I followed what you had in the picture and now i can output the AUX to stereo out .. and then when it comes time to bounce, i can now write the audio. Thanks so much.
