This is something that you would have to do within your DAW either with multiple versions of SD3, multi-channel outputs and automating the faders or automating a macro within the mix. That’s just a few possibilities.

Generally – if it’s a small change (like some effects or mixer channels just being turned up or down in volume) it can be done in the same SD3 instance, and controlled with macro knobs.

But if it’s a big change – like different drums should play and the mixer is totally different, I would just add a new instance of SD3 for those parts.

Ok, I guess I will need another instance of SD3. Now, another thing. I put all of the SD3 tracks into a folder/bus in Reaper but when I do so I lose the drums. I would like to organize it better especially having multiple instances. What can I do?

I’m not a Reaper user, but based on how I organize my work with Logic, are those tracks contained within the main SD3 track? If so, are you able to put that entire container in a folder?

Obviously something an experienced Reaper user would be able to better address…

I figured it out. I made blank track and put all the drum tracks under it.
