I have 2 computers win10 64 and mac catalina both running Studio One 5.5. I have a TD27 which I record live drums to midi on the mac. I then export the midi and load it into my win10 studio one session. everything is good except the hihats. Where the recording has a closed shank or tip articulation when I play it in my win10 the hats are sloshy open. Im not recording to the track in SD3 but to the track in studio one. Why is this happening? and how would I fix it. I dont want to record to the track in SD3 because of the take to layers feature in Studio one.
Thanks
jake

Jake, think I have it figured out. Studio one preserves the state of your SD3 plug-in which has some articulations that have been remapped. See below;
This is done in the plug-in under Settings MIDI In/E-Drums. So on your other system and your guitarists rig you need to set SD3 up the same way.
I’ve saved your remapped articulations as a project file and attached it in an archived (zip) file. Unzip it and then open the session on your PC that’s giving you grief. In the SD3 plug-in, under file open, find the project file and open it. Let me know if this fixes the issue.

Let the collecting beginning…. man they don’t write like that anymore….
You can save the mapping as a mapping preset.
Start with the kit you know works properly then go to settings MIDI In/E-drums.
Select “Use Presets”, scroll down to “Save As” and save the current mapping as a name.
You should be able to use the mapping with any other SDX, load it up by going back into MIDI in/E-Drums, select “Use Presets” and then scroll down to “User presets” and select the one you saved. I tried it with “Legacy of Rock” and “Rooms of Hansa – Live Room” and they work fine.

I mentioned the SD3 settings in my post. Probably didn’t specify enough but yes you should use the same edrum preset.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
