A number of EZDrummer libraries include ‘Cymbal Swells’ as part of their MIDI grooves
including the EZDrummer2 Modern & Vintage kits.

Navigate to the [SEARCH] tab and filter for ‘Cymbal Swells’ in the Play Style column.
Enable [Show Web MIDI] to display & hear grooves from libraries
or MIDI packs that you may not own currently.

    Thanks Scott,

Obviously, I didn’t even know the cymbal swells existed as a category.

I do mostly covers so I tend to program with my own midi.

Sometimes I even play along to the songs and them create the midi from my recordings. My timing on the drums isn’t that great (and I tend to get quite a variation in strike pressure) but it is normally close enough to only require a few fixes of the midi.

I know that Toontrack think of EZD2 and the other products as songwriter tools but I really only use it to get some really great quality samples. The variety of kits means that I’m not stuck with sounds from my kit.

    Thanks again

    Tony
