Close to the end of the installation it gets stuck.

Do you get an error message?

IIRC the installation of the MIDI (over 10,000 files) takes a long time to install (MIDI installs towards the end) and things look like the installer stalls but just wait and the installation should complete.

    Thanks, Scott!

No no error message, but it just gets stuck and the progress bar is almost at the end, just 1mm short and there it stays.
Ok, I will try again, how long should I wait?

One more thing, though, what actually made me think the DVD is defective: right when it gets stuck, the DVD player also makes a repetitive kind of sound, as if the DVD was stuck.

IIRC from the last time I installed the DFH EZX it does exactly that (almost 100% install complete then sits while 10,000 MIDI files install). I remember thinking it stalled myself. Tried it again and went to dinner while installing and when I came back it was done.

Scott, you were right! All it took was some patience.

But like I said in my previous post, towards the end, right where it got stuck, the DVD player started sounding different, so I thought immediately the disc is not good.

    I apologize!
I just ran it again and just waited it out and it installed just fine.

Thank you very much! And sorry for the false alarm…..

BTW, is there any preferable order in which I install all my products or does that not make a difference at all?
I still have all the EZX to install, then DFH Superior 1, SD 2.0 as well as 3 of the SDxs.

No problem. Like I said, I experienced the same thing so I knew the symptom and the solution!

Nope. Any order is fine: EZXs, SDXs, whatever.

    Thank you very much !

Now I also have to install all the updates of all of these.
Since this can get a little confusing: could it do any damage if I install one program or update by mistake twice? Would that add unnecessary registry entries that in turn might slow down the PC?

No, you shouldn’t harm anything by running an update twice.

What I would do is make a list of the EZXs, SDXs, etc. and check them off one at a time as I install them. I would apply each update after the product has installed.

That’s exactly what I was going to do!

I can also check inside each of the EZXs what version it is, right? That way I can check if I installed the update or not.

    Thanks again!

I would open up S2 and go to the ‘?’ page to check if each update (EZX and SDX) installed properly.
