    Hi,

It would be useful if you also could post screenshots of Explorer three steps up from each of those Sounds folders, i.e., of what SL-Darkness_SDX and SL-Death_SDX contain, with file sizes visible.

    Hi Coder,

Thanks – hope I got the path you need. Please find attached for both.

Thanks. It looks alright. If you try to resume the download now, do you still get the same error?

Decompression failed means that it couldn’t unzip some of those zip files. Could it be that you have some antivirus program active that is/was quaranteening WIN_Installer_140.zip? That one has had false positives from some antivirus programs in the past.

There’s also an Errlog.txt, located in “%LocalAppData%\Toontrack\Product Manager” (if I remember correctly), that could contain a more specific error message.

There is an installer.log file but the last entry on that one is from back in October.

I cannot resume the download, the same error message is coming up. I don´t think the WIN Installer endet up in quaranteene, at least I can´t find anything.

Anything else I can try or look for the error log?

Hum, that didn’t say much more. Can you unzip those files manually (all except the ones starting with MAC)? Do it like this: Right-click a zip file and select Open With > Explorer, select everything that is inside (which should be a sole “Contents” folder or “Sound Installer.exe”), copy (ctrl-c), go back go the folder where the zip file is located and paste. In the case with the Contents folder, doing this will merge Contents from the zip with the existing Contents folder here. If you get a dialog that asks if you want to replace the existing files in the target, select that you do want to replace them.

Any errors encountered when doing this unzipping?

If not, you can then run the respective Sound Installer to install the SDX parts.

Also, do you get any administrator prompts or similar during the unzipping? I’m thinking there could be some problem with file/folder permissions.

When I do that with the “All Contents” Zip Folder, I get an error message when pasting.

Error message attached but in german. Basically it says that the path is too long for the mentioned png. file.

    Question:

    1. Can I ignore that message and just skip it?

I was able to open and copy paste the next Zip folder which contains the sound installer.exe – I can run the installer file but does it make sense to run it without having extracted the other Zip files with the contents to the same directory?

When I start the installation, it seems to work but the installation time seems quite long (around 1 hour 33 minutes, see second screenshot). Is that normal?

So, should I just run the installation without having unzipped the other zip folders or will I have to copy/past the content zip folder before running the installation.exe?

    Thx Olof!

Ahh, path too long, that explains it. It does seem like a strange place to have the download location:

I suggest you change the download location in Product Manager Options, to somewhere closer to the root of the same drive, in a folder named “Toontrack Downloads” for example. Then use the Move Downloads button. It goes fast if it’s on the same drive. If all goes well, the download will automatically complete and be ready to install from Product Manager.

Thank you so much, Olof – that did the trick! Stupid could´ve thought about that before but oh well, sometimes you just oversee things.

When I changed the download location to the very same HDD, just a bit closer within the root and not so far down in countly subfolders, the installation automatically completed and currently the SDXs are installing.

I really have to say, not only does Toontrack have great quality and high end sounding products with great usability, also in case of any troubles, the service and level of competence of you guys here in the Forum is just phenomenal. Chapeau on that Sir and thank you again!

    Hello All,

I am having the same problem with the Death & Darkness SDX download.  However in my case, I am downloading to a folder which is located directly on my solid state drive.  I have also already tried downloading to a different drive.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Trybiculuskarton and schrierb, you both seem to have completed the downloads successfully now, according to the logs, so I assume all is good.
