Hey gang… first post. Been using and enjoying EZDrummer2 to program drum tracks, now I’m converting an acoustic kit to trigger EZDrummer2.
Starting with a snare, I’ve got a mesh head and DDrum snare trigger installed and connected to a DDrum DDTi interface. The DDTi interface is connected via USB to my Mac. In EZDrummer2 I have the E-Drum setting set to “Generic”.
Despite this setup, the trigger is sensed in the DDTi hardware is not triggering inside the EZDrummer2 application on the Mac.
So with that not working, inside LogicProX I tried creating a software instrument track with EZDrummer2 as the instrument and with that the trigger works as expected, triggering EZDrummer as a virtual instrument inside LogicProX. This proves that the trigger, DDTi, USB connection, and Mac are all working together properly.
However I do not want to have to use LogicProX to trigger the EZDrummer2 application but instead want to do so directly.
I’ve tried all the various E-Drum settings (Roland, Alesis, etc.) inside the EZDrummer2 configuration and still no success directly triggering.
Am I missing a configuration setting inside the EZDrummer2 application or perhaps on my Mac?… any other suggestions?
Thanks a bunch… Dave
Got it figured out… Settings > Audio/Midi Setup > MIDI Device > select the DDTi interface (which displays as the related TriggerIO).
Cheers!… Dave
In where is the SETTINGS/AUDIO-MIDI ?
I can’t find in EZ drummer 3 that path ?
I have the same problem: No sound using only EZ Drummer 3 with DDTi trigger module.
I have sound through Logic Pro thought.
@toontrack, same question as Tommieleecool above. How do i map ddrum ddti within EZD3?
Hi,
there are several questions here.
First, if you are using a host/DAW like Logic, you do not set the module as your audio and midi interface in the EZD3 plug-in, you set this in the host, i.e. Logic.
The Audio/MIDI Settings are only available when using the EZD3 Standalone.
Second, if you click the small “hamburger” menu right next to ‘MIDI’ in the lower right corner, you can get directly to the MIDI In/E-drums mapping page.
If your module and manufacturer isn’t listed, you can start from the Toontrack or Generic Preset and tweak it to fit your module/kit and playing style. When done, make sure to save as User Preset, so you may apply it as Default or apply it to other Projects.

John
