DAW control patch load

Hi,

I’m wondering if there is a way to load patches via automation from Logic X?
I’m using a Roland TD50KV to trigger superior drummer 3, on a 2016 macbook pro (OSX 10.12.6) running Logic x (10.3.2).
What I’d like to do if possible, is set some automation in Logic, so that as I play through a song, the automation can tell superior drummer to load up different kits.
Is this possible? (please say yes!)

Sorry for reviving this old thread.

I am currently facing the same question – although my DAW would be Reaper or Cubase – but I guess this would not make so much of a difference.
