Cymbals not playing in Logic

Hi,

New to SD.When I input midi data on a Logic Midi file,I find some of the cymbals don’t play or they get choked.Can someone help me get rid of this choking feature? Is there a polyphony limit.I only have a bass drum & hihat though & tried to layer a cymbal crash.

Hi,

please check your MIDI Track for AfterTouch data, AfterTouch chokes the cymbals. Unless you are triggering the Mute Hit articulation, which is choked.
You can see which articulation you are triggering via your MIDI controller by Showing the MIDI Mapping Keys Side Panel, right next to the Property Boxes on the DRUMS page.
