Check (in the order as listed below) that:

    • the target cymbal has a Choke articulation
    • the Choke articulation is enabled
    • the Choke articulation has a MIDI note assigned to it

Is there a manual on how to look those items up to perform them?  Aside from MIDI assignment, wouldn’t most, if not all cymbals have the capabilities of choke? Does it default to choke disabled? I am trying to understand the logic of it was in EZD2, would it not “transfer” to SD3? I have not changed any settings from its default state. Although I have not done any mapping, I didn’t think I would need to since choke is a basic it…just wondering….

I am also looking at getting chokes on my SD2 stuff, if possible in SD3.

Manual only mention the aftertouch thingy, and in internal midi handling in SD3.

I did long ago, an emulation on Vsampler and DFH – so can this be done if articulation not there – create one I mean?

I did a filter envelope for that, and worked pretty well.

My Yamaha DTXpress IV does have choke on internal sounds, but does not send any midi – they never fixed that with firmware updates.

So thinking of using a cup or edge on a pad to do choke.

Any video links would be swell as well, thanks.
