Hi everyone
I’m definitely getting better at using SD3 and it’s very rewarding. However, I was wondering whether there is a cycle record function similar to how MIDI takes might be dealt with in a DAW (e.g. different takes or overwrites, rather than integrating multiple play-throughs into one MIDI region).
I’m not sure I’m being clear, so what I mean is:
- I’m recording V Drums directly into SD3 as a plugin in Logic (so I record enable SD3 in the plugin and then hit play on Logic)
- I set matching cycles within SD3 and Logic
- When the next cycle begins, new MIDI data from my V drums adds to the existing region within SD3
- What I want is for it not to do this – i.e I want it to either start a new region either by overwriting the existing one, or by overlaying a new region over the one from the previous cycle (and muting it).
I hope that makes sense. Any tips / tricks or help would be appreciated!
Thank you
