Custom & Vintage SDX with EZD?

Can the Custom & Vintage SDX be used with EZD2? The site lists it as for use only with SD, but it shows up in my Shop Web Shop MNIDI options IJN EZD2 when searching for patterns.

The MIDI can be used but not the sounds. Buying an SDX for
its MIDI only would mean a very high price per MIDI loop.
