No, only SDXs and EZXs are supported in S3. S1 libraries are not supported. Most likely due to the fact that the old original libraries are not .obw soundbunch files.

Thanks for the quick reply, Scott.
Certainly plenty in the new library and SDXs to keep us movin, but I will miss those custom & vintage kits.

Agreed. Toontrack did release the C&V as an SDX (the SDX includes C&V and the Vintage add-on sounds) around 7 years ago. It’s still one of my favorite kits. Just used it on an R&B song.

I had no idea that was an SDX! That’s great news. Thanks again, Scott.

DZNY, do you want to sell me your legacy DFH Custom & Vintage?

Is there an equivalent to DFH ezx on SDX? Is it the original superior 2 library (Core)?

I still have my custom and vintage sd1 version. Some nice dead sounds on those. To be honest I don’t use it anymore as I like the extra articulations in sd3. I have some great recordings from sd1 and sd2. They were certainly a game changer for me.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Metal Foundary or Area 33 Origins would my choices for an SDXs that come close to DFH.
    From the production notes:

“The Metal Foundry SDX was recorded and produced at Atlantis Studios in December 2008 by the original Drumkit From Hell recording team, Mattias Eklund (Toontrack Music), Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah), Daniel Bergstrand (Dug Out Studios) and Tomas Haake (Meshuggah).”

Area 33 Origins also recorded and produced by Thordendal and Bergstrand springs back to the early days of hard rock and heavy metal.
