Unfortunately no. We are aware of this being a problem, so we will have a look at it for a coming update!

Ugh, that’s really disappointing. I’m going to have to find a work around for this I guess. I spent a few hours setting up all the time signatures the first time and really don’t want to do all that work again. Confused

I work with a couple other drummers too who use EZ Drummer to record their midi tracks from their E-Kits. It would be a handy feature to be able to export a complete custom time signature set up from SD3 that they could import into EZ Drummer to use on their end.

I had the same gripe months ago. I setup all my time signature changes in Logic and/or can read them from a midi file import. Superior can’t import time signatures so I have to redo them all manually 🙁

Thanks for the feedback! We are aware of those issues, and we’ll try to make it easier to handle time signatures in coming updates!

Has there been any headroom made on this feature? To be able to import and export time signatures?

The update with the fix hasn’t been released yet. However I thought of a workaround that might ease things in the meantime:

    • Select all the MIDI files on the song track and drag them (together) to the User MIDI folder in Grooves
    • Create a new track tab
    • Drag down the groove you created in the first step from User MIDI to the new song track tab
    • You’ll now get a popup asking if you want to import time signature and tempo changes. Check those and you should get the time signature changes!
      • You can now erase the MIDI song block on this song track that you don’t want to keep, and continue to make the next super hit 🙂

Any updates on the update on this one?

    Hi Clinton,

I think all things mentioned in this thread has been possible for a while (except for EZdrummer 2 to Import an SD3 MIDI file with Tempo and Time Sig changes).

You can Duplicate a Song Track in SD3 with Tempo and Time Sig changes and they will be transferred to the new Song Track as well as any MIDI on it.

You can Export a Song Track as a MIDI file and the Tempo and Time Sig changes are included. You can Import Tempo and Time Sig changes from a MIDI file.

    John

I just want to copy the 1st verse from the song track and then paste the same information to the 2nd verse with the time signatures included. You state Drummer 3 was updated to do this but how is it done in steps or give a link please. I am using a Mac Studio  14.2 Sonoma OS

Anybody had time to answer the above question? The new update states the time signatures can be copied now. But what are the steps?

    Update 3.1.3.

    Song Track

    • Time signatures can now be copied between different tracks.
    • Time signatures can now be imported from MIDI files.

    Operating system: macOS Sonoma (14)
