    Hi,

do you get any error messages or logs?

Does it happen in both standalone and plugin?

Which version number is reported for the library and the plugin?

    BR,

    John

In addition to John’s questions, does the crash occur using a specific preset (“Peter Henderson” > “Crystal Caravan – A New Time” in particular)?

Thanks for responding.  It’s SD3 version 3.1.2. The plugin is v 1.5.0. It happens in both standalone and within Cubase. The error message is simply “Superior Drummer has crashed”, and it generates a crash log dump file. It looks as though it happens with specific factory presets only: Grande Luxe – Cold and the two Hanne presets. Others seem OK. I think the issue could possibly relate to specific articulations as I can’t get the crash to happen by clicking on the drums with a mouse and getting the preview sound, I need to play my e-drum kit for a few seconds to get the crash. The offending presets appear to load and play, but a few seconds into playing the kit it causes a crash.

Do you have the NY Avatar library (from S2) installed and updated?

Can you zip and attach the crash dump file so the programmers can take a look?

This one is fixed and will be released in the upcoming update for SD3. In the meantime, you should try and avoid using CC16 with those presets since it is mapped to something that does not exist. Alternatively you could re-map the CC16 to something useful, like the hi-hat.

OK, thanks. Is this related to positional sensing in the C&V library and does this mean there is no positional sensing available?  It would explain why I don’t get as vivid a sound on snares in C&V – there is less articulation. It would also explain why the snare appears to cause the crash.

Yes you are totally right. There is no default positional sensing (Snare Zone Trigger/Control) available in C&V. You can make your own however in the E-drum settings. We might also add such a factory presets in the coming update.

I see now that there are no articulations recorded in C&V other than ‘Center’ that would be triggered by the positional sensing, hence why there is none available. So making your own e-drum preset won’t do you any good in this case, sorry.
