Custom and Vintage – Missing Libraries

Hi all, purchased Custom and Vintage SDX yesterday, verified the download (11.5GB), SDX update (32MB) The install and update went fine, no errors whatsoever.

However, in SD3, in the Drums and Mixer preset menu, i see one called Peter Henderson Factory set and then 9 presets. The last 4 of these load and work fine but attempting to load the first 5 bring up the following error –

Missing Libraries

SL-AVATAR

Instruments

SD3 displays a message dialogue to insert disk containing the library, check library paths, run product manager to verify library is installed correctly.

Well, tried all that, all my other libraries work fine on my HDD, library paths are correct.

Can anyone with the C&V SDX try loading them first 5 presets and see if you get the same error.

Presets are –

Crystal Caravan – A new time

Crystal Caravan – Between

Grand Luxe – Cold

Hanne – I Don’t feel a Thing

Hanne – Talk of the Town

Hi,

 

it has been brought to attention earlier and I think it is being worked upon @Toontrack HQ.

Why this is happening is because at the time the C&V SDX was released, you had to have Superior Drummer 2 to load it and the ‘SL-Avatar’ library was the core Superior Drummer 2 library. I.e. it was no problem including samples from the SD2 core library in the Producer Presets for the C&V SDX.

With the release of SD3, this has obviously changed.

Thank you for the prompt answer, i kind of assumed it would be something along those lines. Personally, not a huge issue, just a little annoyance.

I also assume there is no easy workaround and an update is specifically required?

If one would purchase and install the New York vol 1 sdx would this fix the problem of the missing sound library and make the other sdx expansions that use that library operate correctly?

@bluescollar: Yes, that is correct. NY Vol 1 is the Avatar Library.

Yes, that’s what i did when it was on sale.
