Hi
I have SD3 installed and generally manipulate the midi from within Cubase 10.
I also own GA4 and whilst the quality is, in my opinio, quite poor compared to SD3 one feature I do like is the ability to assign midi loops to pads and then trigger those pads with a press of a key so say C3 plays a midi pattern and I can trigger a fill with D3.
Are any of you guys using it this way and if so how?
Thank you
Mike
Hi,
triggering different loops from your MIDI keyboard is not an SD3 feature. I don’t see it coming either since it would be something found in a very different kind of VI.
Maybe you should look into an alternative host, like Ableton Live? It’s been ages since I used it but IIRC you were able to control MIDI slots via MIDI.

John

Hi John
Thanks for your reply.
I kind of presumed it would not become a feature but I was hoping it may be possible to say load midi samples into another vst (GA4 may work for this and I am about to try it) but set it to trigger SD3 (which I believe you can)
That way I can utilise the pads within GA4 but the sounds of SD3.
I guess I was hoping there was a vst that would do this already.
Cheers bud
Mike
