Cubase 5 64bit and EZDrummer 64bit beta

Hi, I need some help getting these to work together please.

I have a Windows 7 (64 bit) i5 laptop with 3GB RAM and am running the Cuase 5 64 bit version. The EZ Drummer 64 bit beta hangs in the VSTBRIDGEAPP.EXE software on the Cubase product. Windows shows the bridge app to be a 32bit program, so after having tried that in various compatability modes I either get no EZD load at all or the product hangs Cubase completely.

Are there any known issues between the Beta and Cubase 5 (64)? Will I have to downgrade the EZ Drummer to get it to work with the Cubase 32 bit bridge software?

I’ve heard of JBridge but do not know if this will solve the problem I have and I have not been able to find any posts using my combination of products.

Hi,

have you been moving or copying the dll file post installation?
The 64-bit version should not be used with any kind of bridging technology.
If you installed the 32-bit version first and then the 64-bit version, added the path to it in Cubase, all should work well.

Guilty as charged, I moved the DLL files into the Cubase VST directory – it did state clearly in your installation document not to move it (I read that afterwards, Doh!). It’s working fine now.
