Hi,
I’m running Cubase Artist 6 (64-bit) on a Windows 7 machine. I just installed EZdrummer and downloaded the update to version 1.3.1. I ran the 32-bit and then the 64-bit installer. Now I have two EZdrummer .dll files in the following locations:
C:Program Files (x86)VstPlugins
C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit
The Plug-In Information in Cubase points to the first directory. Am I right in thinking that this is calling the 32-bit plug-in? If I redirect Cubase to the second directory will it then call the 64-bit version?
Sorry if these questions are a bit basic. I didn’t have these kind of things to worry about on my old XP machine .
Thanks!
Yes, if you want to use the 64-bit version of EZdrummer, add a path in Cubase to the C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit location. To make sure you are using the 64-bit version check the version number in the lower right corner of EZD and it should read version ‘1.3.1 (64-bit)’.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your answer, it worked a dream (once I realised I had to restart Cubase for the changes to stick ).
Cheers,
Ben
PS: is there any noticeable difference between using EZdrummer 32-bit or 64-bit in a 64-bit host? Using the 64-bit version sounds obvious and logical, but I was just curious, since the 32-bit version also worked for me.
Well, if you are using a 64-bit host, then the 64-bit version is the obvious choice. If you use the 32-bit version in a 64-bit host you will be using the host’s bit-bridge and that is not the best way and is, in fact, not supported.
