My second post!! Different topic though. To some this may sound somewhat strange, but is there a way I can drag and drop hit by hit? Or do I REALLY need to get a midi controller or midi drumset? I tried to do it on my keyboard (qwerty) but the timing is all jacked ( and it’s not because my timing sucks either =P). I’m just trying to get a simple galloping rhythm and the pre-recorded grooves don’t have what I need. Again, any help is appreciated.

What host are you using? You should be able to draw in the ‘hits’ in your MIDI editor inside your DAW.

Currently using Reaper. It’s been good to me so far. I kinda figure this is basically a case of me not knowing *quite* what I’m doing yet…..

Drag and drop into Reaper an EZdrummer file close to what you need, then edit it in Reaper’s midi editor.
Or, as Scott suggests, draw in the required beats.
