I am having a problem here.
I love my Boss DR880. I have found this device to be intuitive (to me) when it comes to programming drums.
I want to use the MIDI file from the DR880 in EZDrummer.
I have tried converting the file in EZ Player Pro. I feel as if I may be doing something wrong.
The file will play in EZ Drummer. For some reason, it won’t play correctly, and the snare drum is playing more strokes.
Can someone walk me through the exact process in EZ Player Pro? The manual PDF doesn’t really describe how to do this. IO have to assume that I am not doing this correctly.
Also, does anyone know if this conversion is even possible?
Thanks,
Jim
Hi,
I would assume the Boss MIDI file is GM compliant, right?
If it is, EZdrummer 2 should play back the file correctly, unless there is GM Percussion included, which will not map correctly.
If you have a folder with GM MIDI mounted (added to the Browser) in EZplayer Pro and specified GM as the Input format, then you should be able to see and solo listen to kit pieces and also drag kit pieces to separate Arranger Tracks if you need to adjust the dynamics of e.g. the Snare.
I hope this helps,
John
