Hello. would you please tell me how to create a snare drum click in EZdrummer? (i.e. palm on butt of snick against the head and then use the stick to click or come down on the snare rim). I looked for that sound in all of my sound libraries, and it is not offered as a SNARE option in the DRUMS tab.
Let me know if there is a snare click option in any of the EXPANSION LIBRARIES, as in the NASHVILLE drum kit – which includes sticks, brushes, fingers.
Thank you!
That sound should be ‘sidestick’. I think there is an articulation of stick clicking together in the Nashville EZX too.

Thank you, Scott. I guess I’m wondering where the sound “sidestick” is located and how to activate it…
If it is the sound of a stick on the side of the shell of the drum, that’s not what I’m looking for.
I really need the sound of the stick on the snare rim. Not a rimshot, but the sound when you hold the stick down on the snare, raise it, and come down on the snare rim.
I have Nashville, but I can’t find the stick articulation feature. Thank you so much for your help!
here’s a couple of ‘stick’ options; one of which may be what you’re looking for:

That’s exactly what I needed!
I was able to find the “sidestick” articulation, it does not allow me to select it so all the snare beats are sidesticks.
I can select sidestick, and then place my cursor arrow over the snare rim and click, and it creates the correct sound.
But there doesn’t seem to be a way to assign sidestick as the snare sound – when I go back to the browser, the sound for snare returns to what it was.
Thanks again for your help!
I’m having the exact same problem: How do you assign sidestick as the snare sound? I can select it, but it doesn’t “stick.” Help??

Are you using a DAW? Standalone? If you’re using a DAW you just add your hits to the sidestick articulation note (c#1 I think). That is the note assigned to the sidestick articulation. If using standalone (or DAW if you’re using the Song Track), you can use the Edit Play style window to change the articulation.
