I have a Simmons SD1000 Module, with SD1250, Toms, Snare and Cymbals (all bought second hand). Macbook Pro M4, EzDrummer3
Long Story Short:
Working through this, I knew Medeli built my SD1000 (I heard somewhere); after many trials and errors with the Simmons preset, I decided to copy the code from the Medeli DD514 and the Simmons SD1200 presets. E-Drums/Midi In and save this as a user Presets. After comparing both files with a Text Editor, I noticed that the Medeli code had AutoAtOff at the bottom of its code (could it be that simple). When searching Google and E-drum forums, one thing that kept popping up with EzDrummer was something to do with AfterTouch as a Midi function. So, thinking that AutoATOff may have something to do with AfterTouch, I copied and pasted that at the bottom of the file that I saved as a user preset. To get to the saved user preset directory, go to Settings -Library/Paths click on the hamburger three lines to the right of user presets, do (show in finder) edit the file with a text editor, add AutoAtOff to the file at the bottom, before the last } but after all the other text. And poof, the crash mute function started working, much to my surprise. I also tested a few recordings on the standalone but have not tested it with a DAW (Reaper) yet. Please share if this works for other kits besides my old Simmons Module. Or if someone has already figured this out, I’m sorry to repeat it.

Here is what expansion packs I have tested this on with just the basic kits.

Attached is a image of the presets I modified. One is multiple changes for the SD1000 hoping it would fix the issue and the other is the SD1200 file both with the AutoAtOff just added to bottom. I’m still using my SD1000 file that I manipulated but it does work with the SD1200 code fix.
Thanks, Hope this helps I’m not a programmer so the language may be a little vague.
