Hi Toontrack,
Great with the update to SD 3… But I had a crash in SD3, which also crashed all of Pro Tools. I love the new version BTW, man it sounds great – keep up the good work!!
I know it’s quite normal to have some issues with a brand new piece of software, so I just wanted to send you the issue – if there’s not a solution to the problem yet, you might be aware of it in the upcoming updates on SD3.
I’m on Windows 10 Pro
i7 5860k
16GB DDR4
Apollo Twin Duo USB3 / UAD Satellite Octo
I attached the dump file which SD3 created, let me know if there’s more information you need.

Hi,
which version of Pro Tools are you using?
What were you doing when you got the crash? Which Library was loaded? Any particular preset?

Hi John,
I’m was on Pro Tools 12.7.1 (am currently updating PT right now, I just don’t ever update in the middle of projects) – Maybe the update of PT have a possitive effect, though the error seemed kind of random:
I’m not 100% sure, as it’s been a couple of days now.
1: I was exchanging the snare drum to another SDX snare (as far as I remember).
2: I think I was using Music City SDX – and I think I remember I loaded Music City Basic as a Preset (before changing snare drum).
Hope it helps..
Hi,
I have been trying to reproduce but have not been able to.
It would be great if you could give me a recipe.

John

Hi John,
I’m not able to reproduce the error either. It might have been an underlying problem somewhere.
At least I’m not able to provide any more info, than the above. Sorry…
