There is a crackling sound at certain times during playback of the midi file out in the edit window. It also occurs at the end of my song to when the drum tail is fading out.
let me be more specific, when the last drum hit occurs on the toms and cymbals, there is a crackling sound occurring as the drums fade out. When I open up the mixer in Superior Drummer 3, I can see that the OH Dyn, OH Cond, Amb Rib, and Amb channels are not fading out correctly. I’m using the Nashville Slam Kit.
I am on Logic Pro X with a I/O buffer size at 512 samples.
Can someone please help me figure out what is going on?!
Hi,
do you have ‘Force Cached’ mode enabled in SD3 Performance settings? How many CPU cores assigned?
How much RAM do you have installed and how big is the Project?
Is this in general or just the one Project?

Hi John,
Project Specific mode is enabled in the SD3 performance settings.
I have 1 CPU cores assigned.
I have 16 GB of RAM and the project is 15.3 MB
This varies from project to project. Generally, I’m using the Nashville Slam Kit. On some projects there is a crackling sound and then on others there is not.
The electronic drum kits however do not playback properly at all, regardless of the project. When placing the midi file out into the edit window, the midi doesn’t playback correct at all. I’ve made sure to disengage the follow host button upon placing the midi file out into the edit window.
Thanks,
Drew
