    Hi Dani,

In settings for SD3 you could adjust multi-core to 1. Setting it to two tends to make things behave erratically.

Logic/preferences/audio…might be worth changing some settings here regarding thread processing and playback, playback and live options.

    Kind regards

    Rodney

You may want to adjust your CoreAudio sample buffers to start. As well, I probably would not be starting an empty project with UAD plug-ins as some of them are not only latency inducing, but there may also be some unnecessary communication between Logic and the UAD DSP processors. Those are best applied during mix. Also make sure that you have load lock disabled in your UAD control panel, as well as allowing it to release resources when disabled.

You may also want to update Logic as the latest version employs dynamic plug-in loading.

    Glad you got it handled.

Be sure to check the others in the UAD control panel as they  can introduce other issues.

No worries! Nine times out of ten in Logic when SD3 maxes out, it is usually the multi-core option in SD3 that is the culprit.

When I first tried SD3, I put it on multi-core as well which I forgot about minutes later. Then because the performance was so poor I thought that I had wasted my money. It was actually very depressing at the time. Then someone on the forum suggested going back to single core and that changed everything.

    Kind Regards

    Rodney
