I’m recording a track with my Roland TD-50 and I’m using the Hi-Hat foot control… Is there a way to convert the recording midi mappings to regular midi notes?
I’m not sure what you mean or why you would do it. The td50 sends midi notes already. If you mean the cc data then I’m not sure how or why you would convert to notes. Maybe you need to explain a bit more on what you mean and are trying to achieve.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
If you’re looking to convert MIDI CC to notes, you would need a DAW like Logic, where you can insert a MIDI transformation block to convert it. Unless you’re doing something abstract with them, I too don’t get why you would want to do this.

Thanks for your replies. I’ve attached mock up images of before and after of what I’m trying to ask, and it’s just a personal preferences on how I would like to edit and clean up drum parts. Seems like it would be able to do it since the algorithm is already in place to select the notes based off the data.
