control-click with multiple regions selected acting funny

Hello, When I have multiple regions selected in the little “region timeline” below the grid editor and then control-click them, a menu shows up that includes useful things like “merge.” This makes perfect sense, but the problem is that control-clicking nullifies the original selection because it selects the single region that was control-clicked. Of course then there’s nothing to merge, so the merge in this menu is never useable. One ...
