Hey! I just bought SD3 and it works sometimes a little while. As I start it, it works for a few minutes and then starts freezing all the time. It is absolutely impossible to work in the program with this. It freezes mostly when I move something in Cubase Pro 9.5. It goes away when I click the taskbar but basically immediately freezes again. The track continues to play but I can’t change/touch anything in either Cubase or Superior Drummer. I’ve got a new computer that’s only 2 months old with more than required performance and all drivers up to date. I’ve also downloaded the newest update for SD3. I tried changing the buffer size but nothing changed. I saw that another person had the same problem but it didn’t seem like he’d gotten an answer. Is it possible to fix this?
Same issue. Frequently freezes when using the grid editor. Probably 1-2 times an hour. Need to restart Cubase in order to fix the issue. Only an issue when using SD3.
Hi CC K,
is this in any SD3 Project or is it a specific one?
If it is a specific one, can you please post a ZIPped copy of your SD3 Project and attach it to a post here?
If it is in more than one Project, do you have any kind of customisation to them that is a common denominator, like e.g. you add an extra cymbal in them?

John

I got this a few times, all I did was alt+tab (cmd+tab) to change the focus and back, and it was fine. It looks like it freezes but it’s really just a graphic glitch. No need to restart or anything.
i have the same issue. The program freezes and i have to click cubase main window and then switch back to the grid editor. I can’t move a selection of notes only one at a time! This makes it very hard to work with – i am using 3.2.3 and cubase 11. Its very very very very irritating
i still get this, sometimes it doesnt work to alt-tab.
I noticed this problem when I first got SD3 over a year ago and am kinda surprised it’s still an issue. It was only a problem when the grid editor was open and I was recording or playing back.
So, I stopped using the grid editor and I now just drag any grooves I use directly into my DAW (Cubase Pro) and do the editing there. Now everything works fine.
