I had trouble editing midi in SD3 because I had to keep closing SD3 to change the time line in Samplitude (I’ve since solved that issue).
So the result is I build the SD midi track on a single track in Samplitude Pro X3 Suite.
I’m happy with the results and am ready to bounce down (by-passing mixer) into individual 24 bit wav files, then import them into Samplitude as Audio tracks (and use my own plugins).
With SD2 we had to record the song and then bounce down afterward.
I watched several youtube videos on how to do it in SD3, but I haven’t had any success.
I thought perhaps I have to bring the midi file into SD3, but when I did this, the song was good until after the first chorus and then it went all crazy (maybe mapping issues which I know nothing about)
So, bottom line, how do I bounce individual tracks to audio wav files when the midi file is on a Samplitude track?
thanks for any help,
Paul

If the midi is in samplitude you don’t unless you have something like render in place which Cubase has. The midi has to be in SD3 to use bounce in SD3. You could always enable multi out and record in real time but that’s not ideal.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Thanked by: notstewartI found a way around this for anyone else having a similar problem.
When you have the SD midi track in a sequencer, similar to SD2 you can record that track from start to finish.
When you do this it builds an exact track inside SD3 (previously when I imported the midi track parts of the song were way off).
From there I was able to bounce down all individual mics (instruments) and selected pre-mixer so I can use my own plugins.
Hope that helps, thanks again for posting Mark!
