So explain this to me… I have used your software for sometime now on Windows, just fine without this Product Manager. Now that I have switched to a Mac you are telling me that I have to use it? Every forum response I read, that is the only answer. That is ridiculous.
What if I do not wish to have a whole separate app using up system resources constantly in the background just to run 2 plugins? That is outrageous. I was literally about to buy $150-200 of MIDI stuff today because of the sale… but perhaps not. If this is your answer, I may just go back to BFD.

If I can install it manually then please explain how to get around this error.
All I have gotten to install is the Base EZDrummer app and the update. If I try to install the EZD2 Core Libs, Vintage Rock EZX or EXmix, I get this error.
Also, I am an IT Pro at a Big 10 university. I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty under the hood if I need to.
We made the Product Manager to solve all these issues for users – and to avoid all the support we had before.
Is it possible for you to install it, fix all the installations, then uninstall the Product Manager?

If your software actually only pops open to monitor installations and exits, that is a bit more acceptable. I may check it out and see. I already have several of these dumb things that I HAVE to use and they are so aggravating like the Adobe one I have to use for work for example.
What config is it looking for? One of yours? or perhaps the DAW?
Yeah, we designed it so that it doesn’t have to run in the background, since we know that studio computers should have all resources put on making music, not handling software 🙂
All the problems that occur when you manually install can be solved, but it would help both you and us to use the Product Manager. I don’t know what config file you refer to, but if it’s the installer then it’s most likely Toontrack configs. The other thing it needs to know is where to put the plugin files (AAX, AU, VST) – but that is usually system standard.
Thanks in advance!

Okay… that helps a bit. I can try to see if I can force it by looking through your app locations and see if running in there makes a difference, or perhaps the plugin directory for Pro Tools.
If you must find a way without the Product Manager, copy the mounted DMG contents to a new folder and remove the quarantine flags from it, i.e., run “xattr -rc” on the folder. But I would really recommend Product Manager – you only start it when you need to install something, then you quit it.

Thanked by: James BrandtAwesome, Thanks.
Yeah the fact that A) it does not need to remain installed; and B) It only runs at startup… has kind of changed my mind about the product manager.
Thanks for the help guys.
