Using EZDrummer2 w/Vintage Sound Library. In the EZDrummer Standalone interface, I go to the MENU> and then About Sound Libraries… pick ‘EZDrummer 2 Vintage’ and then MIDI Layout. The .pdf that is shown is unfortunately incomplete. For example, there is a gap in the .pdf between keys 65 and 72, as if there were no notes present in that range, but playing my controller in that range certainly produces sounds. Ditto the note range above key 82. Thus my question….
Is there a COMPLETE MIDI Layout mapping anywhere for the Vintage Sound Library (and any of the others; I have several). I know I can sit here and run the keyboard, listen to each note, then try to map them up with other keys that produce the same note .. but what a beating.
As a follow on question, is there a more user-friendly version for printing ? I can print the .pdf of course, but having it all split up into keyboard chunks is non-optimal. Currently I have to grab the pdf in gimp, cut out the sections I want, assemble them into a continuous keyboard, then print. As you might expect, I lose a lot of resolution during all this clipping/cutting/compositing.
Hi mhembree,
Hey yes go to menu right-click scroll to sound libraries and then choose your EZX sound file ie. Modern drums and select MIDI LAYOUT
I’m familiar with Menu->right click->Sound Libraries->EZX Lib->MIDI LAYOUT docs, but they don’t list all the notes on the keyboard that can produce MIDI and thus drum sounds, hence my original question 🙂
I have this same issue. Â I’m using both SuerpiorDummer 3 and EXDrummer in MacOS. Â I don’t see a “Menu” option anywhere in the window for EXD. Â I also do not see any MIDI layout in any of the SD3 menus. Â This shoudl be something much simpler to access. Â Where are the MIDI note maps on both EXD and SD3 for MacOS? Â I’ve been grappling with this since I purchased both, years ago!!!! HELP

In EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 goto Help > Show MIDI Mapping Layout. There’s a “Print” button with an option to create a PDF.

In Windows this feature produces a pdf with all but the first column of the display cutoff. This happens even if you select landscape mode in the print options. So yes, that button is there, but it’s functionally useless.
Has anyone else had this question asked and adequately answered in the past couple of years?
Just use windows snip the selection above and then print this out, cheers

Hi,
on Mac this works as expected but I can see that using the ‘Microsoft print to PDF’ driver cuts off the content. A quick Search reveals that this problem seems widespread with a lot of Windows programs and the Microsoft print to PDF driver. Do you have any other print to PDF drivers available to you?
I will forward this to my colleagues.

John
