Hello There! I’m an intermediate user. I have been using the standard rock/pop kit for a while now. I wanted to try the cocktail kit that the VST came with. I installed it and it was automatically sent to library/application support/ez drummer/ezx_cocktail as it was supposed to be. However, the sounds themselves are not there. Nor are any samples. When I open rock/pop kit “sounds” file there are more folders there that say hi hat, snare, etc. In the cocktail folder “sounds” there is nothing but a document file names “soundstats”. When I try to use the cocktail kit in garage band it gives the message. “ez drummer cannot find sound files” etc etc. Same problem others have been having. However, the sound files just are not there. I have tried downloading the newest version of “cocktail up” and installing it again to no avail. I also must note that the cocktail kit visuals come up when I select that kit within the VST, just no files.
I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the whole program as well. Nothing seems to be working on this one. I spent the time, now I’m asking for help! Any suggestions would be great. I’m on a 5 month old macbook pro using mostly logic and garageband.
This issue makes me reluctant to purchase any further add ons!
Are you installing from the DVD or from the full product download from your Toontrack account? I would recommend installing from the full product download from your Toontrack account if you are installing on any new (5 month old) computer as the DVDs, most likely, include older installers.
I’m not referring to any ‘updates’ either, I talking about clicking the big red ‘Mac’ button on your EZdrummer product under your ‘My Product’ page. This full download of EZD includes the latest installers.
