Close Mic Audio from Instruments – Edit Stack button sometimes there

Scenario 1

Select the default kit

Right click on snare and select more-> add to-> center and select GSM Piccolo snare.

Looking at the mixer I see two new channels x-top and x-bottom

On the ‘OH Dyn’ channel there now is a edit stack button (2/2 enabled ) under the snare instrument.

 

Scenario 2

Select the default kit

Right click on snare and select more-> add to-> center and select Modular Snare 1

In mixer I see one new channel x-snare

But channel ‘OH Dyn’ does not have the edit stack button

This is the same behavior I see when using input audio file…

Is there a way to get these samples in the OH Dyn channel?

BEST ANSWER

The Piccolo Snare is a kit piece with overhead mic routings. The modular snare does not as it’s a processed electronic kit piece with a single routing. If you open the microphone routing, you can direct it to the overhead channel, but you will most likely lose the close mic in the mixer channel.
