Check out section 4.1 of the manual. See if the “Song Key” choice in the header bar makes a difference.

Many thanks Billy for your reply. I already wrote the manuel and tried to switch the Song Key button to “Original”. It did not change anything

I hit this a while back, so I’m not sure I remember exactly the steps I took to correct it. But you can do what you’re trying to do. I think it may have had something to do with making sure I ONLY copied the MIDI from the groove, and not the groove itself with its native chord structure.

Maybe right-click on the groove and “copy MIDI” or right-click… copy… go down to the MIDI line in the song track and right-click… Paste MIDI…  it was something like that…  you want to only extract the MIDI from the groove… hope that helps.

When you drag a Groove to the timeline, you will see an online over the chords and notes, If the outline is over the chords and notes, both of these will change.

Drag the groove a little lower than the chords and make sure that the outline is only over the notes.
