I think it’s because there’s a chord mismatch (marked with an asterisk) right before the chord you are changing via the wheel. If you right-click the asterisk and ‘Correct to suggested chord’, then change the next chord, the bass notes before it shouldn’t jump up. I think the EZbass AI is behaving like it is taught here but I will have to check with my colleagues.
So I corrected the Chord to Gb. The behavior is still there, but it affected less notes in the neighbor chord than it was when the chord was incorrect.
