Hello!
Quick question:
Is it possible to manually enter chords one at a time played (with a midi controller)on the song track? I know chords can be entered or played by using the record function, but my skills are not good enough to play/record to the click. I always ending up messing up. If I am writing a keyboard part on piano(midi controller), I love the fact that I can see the chord name, but I can’t play it “live”!!
Thanks for any assistance…
Hi,
if you Pencil in the Chords on the Song Track, you should get a question if you want to add MIDI to the Chords if you don’t Pencil them in as well. You can also click the ‘Add Standard Groove’ button.
This will give you something to start from if you don’t wish to start from the included MIDI.

So I guess the answer is no, chords cannot be entered onto the song track via a midi keyboard….
Maybe someday 😉
Oh, I misunderstood your question; of course you can record a chord from a MIDI controller directly onto the Song Track.
Click the Rec button, then Play and record. Right-click to Quantize and/or double-click to Edit in the Grid Editor.
