The MIDI that you play in your host will always be played at the same tempo as the host is set to. The Power Hand should be retained though. Are you Drag and Dropping the file from the Song Track (after changing the Power Hand) or from the Browser/Search? Any changes you made to the groove will only be present in the Song Track.

I remember in EZ1 that I could preview a groove, then change the tempo to double time or half time, then drop the groove into my DAW and it would play at double or half time. I was expecting the same functionality in EZ2. Is that no longer an option?

As far the power hand goes, I was pulling it from the track player, not the browser. I’ll double check to be sure, though.

    Thanks for the response.

This is still an option. When you have the MIDI groove on the track you click on it and then you click on the Song Track menu (to the right top part of the Song Track) there you can find a menu item called ‘Change Tempo’

Thanks for the help. That’s great news about the tempo change option. And my issues with the power hand seem to be over. I tried it again last night and everything worked as expected.

Just with a couple short sessions, EZ2 has already made song writing way more easier and efficient. And the quality of the drum sounds are even better than expected. I used to waffle between SD2, SDD4, Addicitve, and Studio Drummer. EZ2 is finally the total package I’ve been looking for.
